Dank Kunstschnee ist das Skifahren auch in schneearmen Perioden m\u00f6glich. Der k\u00fcnstliche Schnee wird aus Wasser, Luft und Energie heute produziert. Die ersten Versuche gehen in S\u00fcdtirol auf die 1970er Jahre zur\u00fcck. International mitgemischt hat die Brixner Firma Stubenruss. Vorne mit dabei waren auch die Betriebe Demetz in Gr\u00f6den<span>  <\/span>und heute weltmarktf\u00fchrend die Firma Leitner.<span>  <\/span>Erich Kastlunger, Seilbahnpionier, veranlasste 1980 die erste Vollbeschneiung seiner Miara-Piste unter Einsatz von damals noch s\u00fcndteuren Ger\u00e4ten aus Amerika. Der Skirennl\u00e4ufer Erich Kastlunger er\u00f6ffnet ein Sportgesch\u00e4ft und spart sich sein Startkapital als Seilbahnunternehmer zusammen. 1967 baut er den ersten Lift von Enneberg auf den Kronplatz. 1973 erreicht er sein Traumziel, das Brunecker Skigebiet mit St. Vigil und Olang zu verbinden. Er war einer der Gr\u00fcnderv\u00e4ter von Dolomiti Superski.
